On 09.04.2022 at 10:00 a.m., all residents and guests of Burgas can walk along the newly opened street of crafts – “Aleko Konstantinov” and participate in a happening on the theme “We work together for a greener Europe”.

An art workshop for making clothes from recycled materials will be open to everyone who wants to make something coquettish from unnecessary plastic packaging, plastic bags and other waste. Participants will be able to create their own Saturday outfit. Each passer-by will be able to participate in various applied activities related to the theme of the protection of our seas and oceans.

In a specially adapted place, visitors will also be able to make a card with a message about the importance of nature, which they can then give to a loved one, acquaintance, friend or random passerby. The messages are to stress the importance to the pressing environmental problem.

The aim of the happening is to inform the public of one of the most serious problems in modern times, namely the pollution of the seas and oceans with plastic waste.

The folklore composition “Zelenika” at the center for talented children in the city will take care of the good mood of those attending the event.

The happening was organized by the Chance for Children and Nature of Bulgaria Foundation, partner of Burgas Municipality under project No BGENVIRONMENT – 2.003-0003 “Implementation of measures for reducing marine litter in the Burgas Bay” under the “Small grant scheme for measures for reducing marine litter” is implemented within the framework of a program “Environmental protection and climate change”, funded by the EEA FM 2014-2021
